Latest Updates from Our Project:

We did it!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Aug 14, 2019 at 09:05:10 PM

The campaign is over and we hit ALL of our goals! This means that not only is everything that’s been announced unlocked, but there are THREE different color variants for your free Pseudodragon pin available! I hope you all are as excited as I am! What happens next? Well, the next two weeks will be fairly slow because Kickstarter takes about two weeks to charge cards and send the payment. I’ll be sending out surveys via Backerkit once most of the payments are processed, and once you send in your survey answers, I’ll begin tallying things up so that I can place orders with the manufacturer. This is all boring behind-the-scenes work that you don’t need to worry about. I will send out updates as things progress to let you know where we’re at in the timeline. As if right now, I expect pins to be at your doorstep in mid-October. Thank you SO much for your support, and I’ll see you around!

Less than 48 hours!
over 4 years ago – Tue, Aug 13, 2019 at 10:29:50 PM

Good morning!

At the time of writing this, we have 35 hours left in the campaign. We're in really good shape, with all of our stretch goals unlocked except the Albino Pseudodragon, which unlocks at 200 backers. I'm fairly confident that we can do it!

I wanted to touch base on how the surveys are going to work when the Kickstarter ends. I'm using Backerkit for the first time, and have been setting it up for the past few weeks and making sure everything is good to go. When you get your survey, you'll be able to select which color freebie Pseudodragon you want, as well as which pins you want for your reward. There will also be an add-on shop, where you can add more things to your pledge if you decide you want more pins, or some items from my Etsy!

For those of you who managed to snag an early bird tier, your early bird pricing will be locked, and all additional pins in this shop will be $10!

If you've added money onto your pledge amount wanting to do add-ons, don't fret! Backerkit takes this into account and will let you use the extra pledge amount in the store.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to help. This will be my first time with Backerkit, but they have done LOADS of Kickstarters, and many of you have probably already used them for surveys in the past. I'm excited to get the ball really rolling and collect the surveys so that I can order the pins for you all!

Thanks so much!

Opinions, please!

Good morning!

Something I learned from my previous pin project is that sizing of the pins in relation to each other is super important, and trickier than you may think. I learned my lesson and have been really careful about pin sizing this time around, printing out 100% size copies of the pins on paper and comparing them to each other to make sure I like how they look together.

I bring this up because I'm thinking of changing Tiamat's planned size from 2.5" down to 2.25". This quarter inch difference may not seem like a lot, but when I was testing the prints next to each other, I found that I actually prefer the slightly smaller size. It's still a large pin in comparison to the others, so the effect of her being huge and daunting is not lost, but she feels more fitting with the rest of the dragons.

Here is the sizing sheet I was using, showing the difference between the 2.5", 2.25", and 2" sizes that I was deciding between.

If you tell me you'd prefer the larger size, then I'll take that into consideration. I just want to be transparent with any changes I make like this! Nothing else about the pin would change, and in my opinion, a slightly smaller pin = finer details = pretty!

The quick version of this email is: I'm planning to change Tiamat's size from 2.5" down to 2.25" to fit in better with the rest of the lineup.

Let me know how you feel about this change, and have a wonderful day!

New goal announced!
over 4 years ago – Mon, Aug 05, 2019 at 09:31:39 PM

Hello!

With 9 days left in this campaign, we're only about $150 away from unlocking Tiamat. I'm confident that we can do it! I'm also really excited to introduce to you the next stretch goal available after Tiamat....

The Faerie Dragon!

Related to the Pseudodragon, the Faerie Dragon is an iridescent little troublemaker which when fullgrown is about the size of a housecat.

Because I based the Pseudodragon design so heavily on mice, I thought it only fitting to design the Faerie Dragon to be very cat-like. Our little Faerie will be in Rose Gold metal and about 1.5 inches wide.

I'll add this to the front page in a bit. That's all for now!

WE DID IT!!! -- SOME IMPORTANT NEWS

WE DID IT!!

You may have noticed that over the weekend, we hit our funding goal! I’m so happy and excited to be able to work on this project with all of you, and I want to sincerely thank you for making this possible.

Over the last week I’ve been working on re-calculating everything, talking to a different supplier, and re-evaluating things like packaging costs. It’s been lots of fine-tuning that boils down to one main exciting point:

WE’RE IMMEDIATELY UNLOCKING ALL OF THE ANNOUNCED DESIGNS!

This means that the currently locked Black, White, Blue, and Pseudo-Dragon pins have all been unlocked and will be available for selection when the surveys go out at the end of the campaign!

This includes just one of the color variants for the Pseudo-Dragon. Instead of making variants unlock-able at a certain funding goal, they will be unlocked based on the number of backers we get.

—> We’ve unlocked the BROWN Pseudo-Dragon!

—> At 150 backers, we unlock the PASTEL Pseudo-Dragon

—> At 200 backers, we unlock the ALBINO Pseudo-Dragon

Everyone who pledges for at least ONE pin will get a free Pseudo-Dragon pin, and you will be able to choose which one you’d like from any unlocked color options!

For those of you who get excited about Stretch Goals (I know I do), worry not- there are still more designs which we can work toward. The goalposts have just moved closer! I'll be updating the campaign page later today to reflect these changes.

Our next stretch goal is……

TIAMAT

Tiamat is the five-headed goddess of chromatic dragons. Cunning, cruel, and incredibly dangerous, you had better hope you never meet her ill-prepared.

Be careful out there, traveler.
